SYMPLECTIC ELEMENTS MOVING TO THE CLOUD
Symplectic Elements is moving to a Cloud-hosted model provided by the vendor as a managed service supported by Research Office and ITD. Transition is scheduled for the October long weekend. Symplectic Elements will not be available from 5pm on Friday 2 October till 9am on Tuesday 6 October.
- The URL will change and will be provided after the transition is completed
- Symplectic can be accessed throughout by using the Symplectic tile on ResHub
- There is no change to the functionality of Symplectic
UTS now has access to the Discovery service which allows you to construct and control an external profile. To find out more and steps on how to create you own profile go to our information site.
DISTILLING RESEARCH IMPACT 2020
UTS Distilling Research Impact helps academics communicate their research impact. You could receive up to $7,500 of in-kind support to create material to showcase your research. Applications open now (in Symplectic) and will close October 9th 2020.

ORCID has been integrated with Symplectic since 2015. The majority of academics have ORCIDs linked in Symplectic to automatically claim publications.
In 2020, we now have a new integration which sends data from Symplectic to ORCID. To find out more watch the video below and go to ORCID at UTS.

If you need assistance using Symplectic please email RKIT@uts.edu.au. Symplectic is available remotely for all users, on both Mac and PC, using your staff ID (or student ID) and password.
